Division AAA

Rules for the 2008 Season

 

 

 

1.     We will use a continuous batting order.

 

2.     Minimum play is 3 innings in the field.

 

3.     We will use the 6 run rule. No more than 6 runs per inning.

 

4.     Stealing is allowed.

 

5.     2 Adult base coaches or 1 Adult and 1 player

 

6.     Games will be approx. 2 hours in length.

 

7.     Games during the week shall begin no later than 5:45 and a new inning will not start after 2 hours

         have been played, or no later than 7:45 whichever comes first.

 

8.     Saturday games will begin as scheduled and a new inning will not start after 1 hour 50 minutes have

         been played.

 

9.     Good sportsmanship is a MUST.

         No questioning judgment calls of umpires. If a book rule is misinterpreted by the umpire (ie:  

         infield fly), with agreement from both coaches, and can be reversed please do so immediately.

         If not, the call stands. Riding the Umpire by either coaches or players will not be tolerated.

 

10.  Pitching rules of little league apply: Please refer to Pages 34-35 in your rule book regarding the

        pitch count rule this year.  Any questions regarding it, please ask Dave Miller Or Tim Kulish for

        further explanation.

11.  Catcher's Courtesy Runner: when there are two (2) out and the catcher is on base, a courtesy

        runner is allowed.  However the substitute runner must be the player who made the 2nd out.

 

12.  Home team is the official scorer. And is responsible for reporting the score and all pitchers and

        innings pitched to AAA director after game by email.

 

13.  Managers will make out a snack bar parent work assignment list (1 parent from each team)

        provide copy to snack stand by 1st game.

 

14.  Field preparation will be the responsibility of both teams as well as raking home plate and the pitchers

        mound after your games. (see field duties sheet).

 

15.  Home team is responsible for providing a press release for the game.

        Get volunteers to help with this.
