SALL 2010 – AA Division Rules & Regulations

 

 

 

                                               

1. Players will pitch first 3 innings (from the mound). After 4th ball a coach will pitch

    no walks & strike outs will count – swing or looking.

 

    Maximum pitch count – 50 pitches

    1-20    pitches - no days rest

    21-35 pitches - 1 days rest

    36-50 pitches - 2 days rest

 

 

2.  6 inning games (a new inning will not begin past 7:50pm during the week; time

      limits will be followed on the weekends)

 

3.  Continuous batting order.

 

4.   Four (4) outfielders may be used.

 

      5.    Players must play at least 3 defensive innings in the field during full 6

      inning games. Players shall not sit more than 2 consecutive innings

 

6.           6.   The 5 run rule will be in effect.

 

7.   No advancement on over throws

 

8.   Base coaches will be adults.

 

9.   Umpire will behind plate entire the game.

 

10.  Players can advance 1 base on a steal or passed ball. !!!!

       (the pitch must be a caught ball as we steal on the catcher)

 

11.  No advance from third base on passed ball. (runner must be driven in)

 

12. This level is intended to instruct the players and instill confidence.

 

13. Managers will make out a snack bar parent work assignment list

      (1 parent from each team) provide copy to snack stand by 1st game.

 

14. Field preparation will be the responsibility of both teams as well as raking home

      plate and the pitchers mound after your games. (see field duties sheet)

 

15. Home team is responsible for providing a press release for the game to AA

      League Director by email. Get volunteers to help with this.

**There will be NO negotiation of the rules before or during the game.**

**Make sure ALL players are rotated between the infield and outfield during the game.**

**Make sure ALL players get the required playing time.**

**Please remember the league is for the KIDS.**
