Division A

 

 

SALL 2010 - A Division Rules and Regulations

                                                                       

1.    Coaches will pitch the entire game

       (6 hittable pitches then a coach will assist the batter)

 

2.    6 inning games. A new inning will not begin past 7:50pm during the week( time

       limits will be followed on Saturday ,no new inning will begin after 1hr50mins of play )

 

3.    Continuous batting order

 

4.    Four (4) outfielders will be used

 

5.    Players must play at least 3 defensive innings in the field during full 6

       inning games. Players shall not sit more than 2 consecutive innings

 

6.    4 run rule will be in effect

 

7.   Single is maximum hit when ball is hit to the infield and a double for when the ball is

      hit to the outfield. No advancement once ball reaches infield.

 

8.   No advancement on over throws

 

9.    Base coaches will be adults for additional instruction

 

10. No Stealing.  Advancement only on batted ball

 

11.  No advance from third base on passed ball. (runner must be driven in)

 

12. This level is intended to instruct the players and instill confidence

 

13. Managers will make out a snack bar parent work assignment list

      (1 parent from each team) provide copy to snack stand by 1st game

 

14. Field preparation will be the responsibility of both teams as well as raking home

      plate and the pitchers mound after your games

      (see field duties sheet)

 

15. Home team is responsible for providing a press release for the game to A

      League Director by email. Get volunteers to help with this.
