Dear Managers & Coaches of Shelton American LL,

This summer we would like to invite you to get involved once more. SAAL is putting together the

First Annual Shelton American Little League Coaches for Kids charity softball game between the coaches

and managers and maybe some of the moms and dads. It is going to be held immediately following the

Awards Ceremony scheduled for August 13th. It will be a short, fun game that will allow us to have a

good time running around once more. I'm sure the kids will get a kick out of watching us flash some

leather and hit some homers (or not). We are asking that anybody who would like to play

please contact Bob Macchia coach of the AA Giants, his contact info is below, as soon as possible so he

can begin to put together some more detailed plans on teams and format. There will be a $25 donation to

play. 100% of the donations will go directly to the Connecticut chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

For those who cannot participate I invite you to, if you can, make a donation, big or small, to our event.

For those of you who are not familiar with the foundation, here is a brief note from them.

Further information can be found at www.ct.wish.org

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Connecticut grants wishes to children with life threatening medical

conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. It is only because of the

extraordinary efforts and generosity of our community that wishes are possible. You can help children

who are battling life-threatening medical conditions, and their families through supporting a fundraiser.

A promise of a wish can provide children and their families hope, strength and joy to carry them through

difficult times. By demonstrating that a wish can come true, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of

Connecticut encourages children to envision a positive future and to remain an active partner in

 treatment.

 Thanks so much!

If you could also please forward this information to your players’ parents to let them know about the event

I would greatly appreciate the help.

Please don’t hesitate to call Bob at 203-981-3550 or email him at rjmacchia@aol.com if you have any ideas,

questions or suggestions. I would like to try to make this a successful and fun event that can become an

 annual fundraiser.
